Our 1st hot air balloon,
named “Aeolus 2” by the original owner “Delphine Isabel Gray-Fisk”.
Aeolus was the ruler of the winds in Greek mythology. Aeolus was also
known as “Keeper of the Winds” who gives Odysseus a rightly closed bag
full of the captured winds so he could sail easily home to Ithaca on the
gentle West Wind.
Martin’s first flight in “Aeolus 2” was
as a PUT with Mike Glue.
We have flown this balloon to an
altitude of 4,500 Feet in an attempt to reach 10,000ft.
Martin gained his PPL (B) in this balloon in 2004.
The balloon can be seen flying in the
East Hertfordshire area, and at many hot air balloon events in the UK. |
